Quick summary
Moodly is a journaling and emotional reflection app. The app may store your entries, selected moods, attached photos or videos, voice notes, locations, Apple Journaling Suggestions, challenge reflections, streaks, preferences, and subscription status so the experience can work across sessions.
Most Moodly data is stored locally on your device. Moodly does not currently use a backend server, cloud sync, analytics provider, crash reporting provider, or external AI provider. If you contact support, we will receive the information you choose to send by email.

How we use information
- To save and display your journal entries, attachments, moods, and progress.
- To personalize prompts, challenges, insights, reminders, and weekly recaps.
- To manage subscriptions, premium access, free limits, trial state, and restored purchases.
- To respond to support requests and improve app reliability.
- To comply with App Store, legal, tax, safety, and fraud-prevention obligations.
Apple Health and Apple suggestions
Moodly may request permission to read or write mental state data through Apple Health only when you choose to use those features. Apple Health data is not used for advertising.
Moodly may also request Apple Journaling Suggestions access. The app only receives suggestions you choose to add. Suggestions may include memories, places, activities, photos, videos, music, or other Apple-provided moments, depending on your device permissions and Apple settings.
Subscriptions and payments
Purchases, trials, renewals, cancellations, refunds, and billing are handled by Apple through the App Store. Moodly receives subscription entitlement information from Apple so it can unlock Premium or Unlimited features.
Retention and deletion
Moodly keeps app data for as long as needed to provide the app experience or until you delete it. You can delete app data from Settings inside Moodly. Deleting app data may remove onboarding answers, entries, preferences, streaks, points, and local app history.
Deleting local app data does not automatically cancel an App Store subscription. Subscription cancellation is managed through your Apple ID subscription settings.
